I’m sitting here thinking about you
just wondering what went wrong.
Why did you walk out this morning
leaving me with sad, blue songs?
I thought we were meant for each other,
well, it just shows how wrong I can be.
Kisses don’t always mean they love you
and your last one said goodbye to me.
You said we had spent too long together
and our love didn’t sparkle any more.
That’s all you said when you left me,
then smiled and walked out the door.
Now I’m drinking with a guy called lonely
and his two friends despair and gloom.
There’s another guy just sat down beside me
and now sorrow has made this his room.
I’m drinking what they call a beer chaser
and there’s more than one reason why.
My glass has been filled with tear drops
and I’m wishing them all goodbye.
